1. Introduction
Welcome to Atkins Media ("we," "our," or "us"). This Unified Privacy Policy informs you how we safeguard your personal data when you visit our website, use our mobile and web applications, or subscribe to our AI SaaS platforms. It outlines your privacy rights and how the law protects you across all our digital properties.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Transaction Data
- Identity Data: Name, username, and profile identifiers.
- Contact Data: Email address, billing address, and telephone numbers.
- Financial Data: Subscription details and payment processing information (handled securely via Stripe).
2.2 Health and Fitness Data
For users of our fitness applications (e.g., Nuclear OS), we collect sensitive information to provide core services:
- Biometric Data: Body measurements, weight, and physiological vitals.
- Activity Logs: Workout history, nutrition logs, and performance metrics.
- Wearable Data: Information synced from third-party devices (Garmin, Apple Health, etc.).
2.3 Technical and Usage Data
- Device Info: IP address, device type, operating system, and browser version.
- Interaction Data: Features accessed, time spent, and navigation paths.
- Location Data: Geolocation information (only with your explicit permission).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to provide a seamless experience across all platforms:
- Service Delivery: To manage subscriptions, process payments, and grant access to AI tools.
- AI Personalization: To generate custom workout plans, nutrition recommendations, and content.
- Communication: To send critical system updates, security alerts, and requested support.
- Safety & Security: To prevent fraud, verify identity, and protect our user community.
4. AI Processing & Third-Party AI Services
Some features in our apps use third-party AI services to generate content. For our teleprompter app, SyncroVoice, the “Magic Script” and script-assist features send text to an AI provider to produce or refine a script.
- What data is sent: Only the topic or script text you type into the AI feature, and — if you paste a link — the readable text extracted from that web page. We never send your video recordings, camera feed, face data, contacts, or location to the AI service.
- Who it is sent to: The text is processed by Google’s Gemini model, accessed through the Rork AI processing gateway which routes the request on our behalf. These providers act as data processors for this functional output only.
- Your permission: Before any text is sent to the AI service for the first time, the app shows a consent screen explaining what will be shared and with whom, and you must agree before the feature is used.
- Retention & training: Text is used only to return the requested result. It is not sold, and it is not used by us to train AI models.
- Third-Party Wearables: If you connect a device (e.g., Garmin) in our fitness apps, we collect data according to that provider's API standards to display your metrics within our apps.
We do not sell your personal, health, or face data to third-party AI or marketing companies.
5. Camera and Face Detection
Our teleprompter app, SyncroVoice, offers an optional hands-free recording feature that uses the front-facing camera together with Apple’s on-device Vision framework. This section explains exactly how that face data is handled.
What face data the app collects
When you enable the camera and the hands-free feature, the app analyzes the live camera image on your device to detect:
- The presence and position of a face within the frame (face location and bounding box).
- Head orientation (yaw and roll) to estimate whether you are looking toward the lens.
- Basic facial landmarks, such as lip points, used to detect a simple smile gesture.
How the face data is used
This information is used solely to power hands-free controls and on-camera framing — for example, automatically starting or stopping a recording when you look at the lens and smile or hold still, and dimming the script over your face so you can read while looking into the camera. It is never used for identification, advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Storage, sharing, and retention
- Processed entirely on-device. All face detection happens locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s Vision framework. Face data is never uploaded to our servers.
- Never shared with third parties. Face data is not sent to any third party, including our AI provider, and is not sold.
- Not retained. Face landmark and orientation data exists only momentarily in memory while the camera is active and is discarded immediately as each frame is processed. It is never written to disk, logged, or stored.
- Your recordings (the videos you choose to record) are saved to your own device and, if you enable cloud sync, to your private account library — these are separate from face-detection data and are controlled by you.
In short: the app does not collect, store, transmit, or share face data. Face detection runs only on your device, only while the camera is on, and only to enable hands-free recording.
6. HushCall Personal Safety App (SMS, Voice Calls & Emergency Contacts)
HushCall is a personal-safety mobile application that is disguised on the home screen as an ordinary utility (such as a clock, calculator, or notes app). When the user activates an alert, HushCall automatically contacts the emergency contacts that the user has chosen. This section explains how those phone calls and text messages work, how consent is obtained, and what data the app collects.
How emergency contacts are added & how consent (opt-in) is collected
- The user adds their own contacts. During in-app setup, the HushCall account holder personally enters their own trusted emergency contacts (a first name and a mobile phone number) into the app's "Emergency Contacts" screen.
- The user attests they have permission. By saving an emergency contact, the user confirms that they have that person's permission to be contacted by automated voice call and text message in the event of an emergency.
- No purchased or third-party lists. HushCall only ever messages the specific contacts a user has saved in their own account. We never message purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party contact lists, and we never send marketing or promotional messages of any kind.
What messages are sent, and when
- Messages are strictly user-initiated. They are sent only at the moment a user manually activates an emergency alert within the app — they are never recurring, scheduled, or automated marketing.
- When an alert is activated, each saved emergency contact receives: (a) an automated voice call that states the user's name, indicates they may be in danger, and reads their location aloud; and (b) an SMS text message containing the user's name and a live map link to their current location.
- Sample message: "HushCall alert: Sarah may be in danger and cannot speak. Live location: https://hushcall.app/t/Ab12Cd34 — Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
Message frequency, opt-out & rates
- Frequency varies and depends entirely on how often the user activates an alert; there is no fixed or recurring schedule.
- Opt-out at any time: a recipient may reply STOP to unsubscribe from further messages, and may reply HELP for assistance.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Location, audio & contact data collected by the app
- Location data is collected only while an alert is active, in order to share the user's live position with their emergency contacts. During an active alert the location is updated approximately every 15 seconds to keep the shared map current, and is retained only as long as needed to provide the alert history to the user.
- Audio: at activation the app may capture a short ambient audio recording, and may stream live microphone audio during the call, so that an emergency contact can assess the situation. If the user is signed in, the recording is stored in the user's own private account for later review.
- Emergency contact details entered by the user are stored on the device and, if the user signs in, synced to the user's own private, access-controlled cloud account.
Who this information is shared with
- Twilio — used as our communications processor to deliver the voice calls and text messages to the user's emergency contacts.
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — used for account authentication and the secure, access-controlled storage of the user's profile, alert history, and audio recordings.
- These providers act solely as data processors for the purpose of delivering the service. This information is never sold, and is never shared for advertising or marketing.
In short: HushCall messaging is strictly opt-in and user-initiated, used only for personal-safety alerts to emergency contacts the user has personally chosen and confirmed permission for. We never send marketing messages, and we never sell or share this data for advertising. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
7. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We share information only with trusted partners required for service functionality:
- Infrastructure: Neon (Database), Google Cloud (Hosting & AI).
- Payments: Stripe (PCI-compliant payment processing).
- Legal: Only when required by law or to protect our rights and user safety.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS encryption in transit, and regular security audits. Sensitive health data is subjected to enhanced access controls.
9. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your location, we provide high-standard privacy rights:
- Right to access/export your data
- Right to correction or deletion
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
- Right to opt-out of marketing
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover such data, it will be deleted immediately.
